Enjoying sunshine, food and beach

Yesterday (Friday 14th February) was Aquafit day here.  John was one of 3 chaps who joined in with the ladies, instructed by a very pleasant Welsh lady (but not quite like our Lorraine!).  This gave us a good appetite for lunch at the site restaurant.  We ordered from the set lunch of the day, but first came the lovely bread and alliole.  My salad was just the starter!
Then I chose the veal (not the best as rather chewy) and John had 'grilled meat' - he asked what meat and the waitress said, chicken, pork, beef, sausage!  Ah - mixed grill, then.
An unusual apple cake and ice cream for pudding.
All this plus tea/coffee for 12€ each + extra drinks, but then with 10% off final bill as Camping Club members - a very reasonable meal.  John still sitting at our table in front of the car.
There are these white statues all over the site, some more interesting than others .....

To work off that food, we cycled into Alcossebre and beyond, returning to our nearest sandy beach for a paddle and chill-out.
A useful slide to perch on.  Deserted beach, but then a couple of children appeared and wanted a go on the slide ....
Entrance to our campsite.  We are right at the top of this main road through, to the left.
Looking back down to the entrance.
John having a go on an electric bike.  We've made friends with Tony and Jenny from Poole and they have these new folding bikes.  I did a lot of wobbling as it seemed very heavy compared with my ordinary one, but John was well in control .... not sure if we would like them or not ...
Today, Saturday, just as warm and sunny after a cloudy start.  Went to the Saturday coffee morning to find out what's going on in the coming week.  Have booked for the supper and quiz on Wednesday and may go on the guided walk on Tuesday.  We leave here on Thursday to explore somewhere new - but not too far away.  With this weather continuing, we don't feel the need to travel much further south.
Tomorrow I'll take some more photos around the site as it is rather special.  A special day too - John's birthday!!
