Sunshine and day out from Elne

Not a lot to report for yesterday, except to say that it was a beautiful day of 22 deg of sunshine, perfect for getting some washing done, relaxing in our armchairs enjoying the warmth and just a short bike ride in the afternoon around Latour Bas Elne. There's been a lot of recent house-building around here (not quite as much as Horsham) - a good mix of sizes and some flats.  The big difference is that no two houses are the same and they all get plenty of space.
Of course there were a few geocaches to look for - the best being this little box beside the gate to private apartments which looked like it was to do with gas or electrics, but it wasn't!! (Jacket needed as chilly on bikes!)
Today started very overcast, but promised to be better later, so we installed our new number plate plaque on our pitch and drove out.  This was an advance birthday present for John, beautifully crafted on glass by Peter B. for me.
We thought we'd like to see nearby Argeles-sur-Mer, which we did do by driving there, but couldn't find anywhere to park - height barriers everywhere - so then came back to St. Cyprien port where we knew where we could park OK, and found a super restaurant for lunch overlooking the boats in the marina.  That's when the sun came through and sent the temperature up again.  Just love the deep blue sky.

Next stop for a good afternoon walk was Lac de La Raho with its mountain backdrop.  Strangely it was still very warm, but blowing a gale.

The village of Villeneuve-de-la-Raho was probably built after the man-made lake.
Tomorrow moving on - into Spain.
PS  Fortunately we haven't noticed any difference following Brexit last night and nobody has mentioned it to us .... yet ...
