Today - Spain. Travelling on a very empty autovista we were soon over the border and on our way to Barcelona.
Yes - we are still welcome!Maybe this empty because it's Sunday, so it made for good progress... at least until we hit the outskirts of the city. But we arrived safely at Camping Estrella de Mar in Castelldefels soon after 2pm.
Had a short walk to the sea - this was where everybody was today.
All the cafes and restaurants were heaving with people and of course, plenty more people just strolling. The 20 or so degrees encouraged us to wear our sandals for the first time, but the Spanish were all still in their winter coats and shoes(!)
Our campsite it quite near to the Olympic Canal, built for the 1992 Olympics for water sports.
Not sure whether these overhead contraptions are boat related or perhaps for cameras.
Spending this evening doing research on visiting Barcelona. Decided that it will be best to do this in two days rather than one. We are quite close to a bus stop for getting into the city. Have bus tickets from reception here and have booked an open-topped bus tour for tomorrow and tickets for the Sagrada Familia on Tuesday, both online.
