Camping les Medes, l'Estartit

Yesterday, 29th February, Leap Year Day, started off cloudy, so we stayed 'at home' with croissants for breakfast and a swim in the indoor pool.  Quite a small pool here, but we had it to ourselves today!  The sun shone in the afternoon, but it was very windy, so we just cycled to a nature reserve, down to the sea and along a track to the town of l'Estartit.

Today has been another very warm and sunny day, so we cycled to the far end of the town, locked up the bikes not far from the port and walked up the very steep hill, then steps and a rocky path to the Cap de la Barra.

Not far up at this stage.
The top of this cliff is where we are heading.
We made it!  Looking towards the Illes Medes.
 Today's picnic spot.
Looking down on the crystal clear water.
Quite windy up there - even John's hair was blowing!
 Looking back down to l'Estartit.
 Coming back down again.
Back through the sleepy town to our bikes.
